Mayo and Cerro Negro Glaciers: Navigation and Guided Hikes

Enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Mayo and Cerro Negro Glaciers on this excursion combining navigation on Lago Argentino and interpretative hikes through the Patagonian Andean forest.

08:00 hs | Pick up from your accommodation. Transfer from El Calafate to Puerto Punta Bandera (47 km).

09:30 hs | Navigation through Canal de los Témpanos and Seno Mayo. Sail towards the Mayo and Cerro Negro Glaciers, accessible only by water.

| Disembark at Bahía Toro. Interpretative 700-meter walk through the Patagonian Andean forest. Visit a waterfall and limestone rock formations.

| Observation of hanging glaciers of Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro from the shore of the lake.

| Disembark at Cerro Negro. 1,000-meter hike into the forest to the base of Cerro Negro, with privileged views of the glacier.

| Navigation to Perito Moreno Glacier. Disembark at Puerto Moreno. Walk along the walkways, observing the glacier fronts and ice calving events.

17:00 hs | Return to Puerto Punta Bandera. Embark and navigate back.

18:00 hs | Arrival in El Calafate.
