Aventura Viedma: Navigation on the Viedma Glacier

Embark on an unforgettable journey to Viedma Glacier, one of Patagonia’s most breathtaking natural wonders. This full-day adventure combines boat navigation, scenic trekking, and stunning panoramic views, giving you a true taste of the wild Argentine Patagonia.

07:00 hs | Pick up from your accommodation. Start your day with a comfortable transfer from your hotel to Puerto Bahía Túnel, 18 km from El Chaltén. Along the way, enjoy a stop at the iconic La Leona Stop, a perfect spot to stretch, take photos, and soak in the Patagonian scenery.

10:30 hs | Embark at Puerto Bahía Túnel. 

11:00 hs | Set sail on Lake Viedma for approximately 3 hours,surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Huemul Massif. Highlights of the navigation include:

Bahía Cabo de los Hornos –Begin a gentle trek to the Cabo de Hornos Peninsula, perfect for all skill levels.

Bahía de los Témpanos –Snap breathtaking photos of floating icebergs.

Viedma Glacier –Get up close to the glacier’s massive front and marvel at its icy grandeur.

14:30 hs | Visit Chorrillo del Salto. After disembarking, enjoy a short and easy walk at Chorrillo del Salto, a serene trail that lets you immerse yourself in Patagonia’s untouched nature.

19:30 hs | Arrival in El Calafate. Drop off at the hotels, ending a day of adventure, trekking and direct contact with the purest nature of Patagonia.
