Glacier Expedition: Frías Lake and Grande Glacier

Experience a unique adventure combining boat navigation, trekking, and privileged views of Patagonia’s glaciers.

📍 Detailed itinerary. Times are subject to change and variations.

07:30 hs | Pick-up from your accommodation. Transfer from El Calafate to Estancia Nibepo Aike (70 km).

09:15 hs | Initial navigation. Board a semi-rigid boat to explore Brazo Sur of Lago Argentino.

| Trekking to Lake Frias. Approximately 1-hour hike (about 1.5 km, with ascents and descents). Enjoy ancient lenga forests and the natural Patagonian surroundings.

|Zodiac boat crossing. 15-minute transfer to the opposite shore to continue the second hike of the day.

| Trekking to the Grande Glacier. Hike through a glacial valley and lenga forest to Laguna Frías Superior, covered with icebergs. Spectacular views of Dickson, Cubo, and Grande Glaciers.

| Lunch with a privileged view. Enjoy lunch in front of Laguna Frías Superior, surrounded by glaciers and untouched nature.

17:30 hs | Return to Glaciar Sur pier. Board the boat and navigate back following the same route to the Estancia.

19:00 hs | Arrival in El Calafate.

• Only suitable for people in good physical condition (not recommended for those with back, hip, ankle, or knee issues) and with appropriate clothing. If the guide determines a participant is not qualified due to physical condition or attire, no claims or refunds will be accepted.

All bookings must be paid by bank transfer, bank deposit or credit/debit card. Credit card payments will be subject to a 6% surcharge. The booking is confirmed only with the 100% of the payment.
