An Adrenaline-Filled Experience on Perito Moreno Glacier

Experience the adventure of exploring the most remote corners of the Perito Moreno Glacier on a high-intensity tour. Walk on ancient ice, enjoy panoramic views, and feel the magnitude of one of the world’s most famous glaciers.

07:00 hs | Pick up from your accommodation. Transfer from El Calafate to Puerto Bajo de las Sombras (70 km).

09:00 hs| Visit to the Walkways. 

10:30 hs | Navigation on Brazo Rico. Cross the lake for approximately 20 minutes in front of the imposing southern face of the glacier.

11:00 hs | Preparation and safety briefing. Welcomed by mountain guides, divided into subgroups, and fitted with crampons, helmets, and harnesses, along with safety instructions.

11:30 hs | Moraine hike. Approximately 2-hour walk along the glacier’s lateral moraine, enjoying panoramic views of the glacier and the Patagonian Andean forest.

13:00 hs | Big Ice: Glacier trekking. Approximately 3 hours exploring the ice, discovering crevices, sinkholes, and unique formations. 30-minute lunch break included.

16:00 hs | Return via the moraine and boat ride back. 1.5-hour return walk and boarding to return to Puerto Bajo de las Sombras.

19:00 hs | Arrival in El Calafate. End of the excursion and return to your accommodation.
