Horseback Riding through Glaciers and the Río Caterina Valley

Experience a unique adventure combining navigation among icebergs and horseback riding through valleys and mountains, enjoying pristine glacier landscapes in Patagonia.

07:30 hs | Pick-up from your accommodation. Transfer from El Calafate to Puerto Punta Bandera (47 km).

09:00 hs | Navigation on Lago Argentino. Cruise through the North Arm to Canal Upsala and Canal Cristina, finally disembarking at the Estancia. During the navigation, you may observe large icebergs calving from the glaciers.

11:30 hs | Arrival at Estancia Cristina and preparation for horseback riding. Horse assignment and equipment delivery at the Estancia’s stable.

| Horseback ride through the Río Caterina Valley. Trek along the valley floor heading north, enjoying the vastness of the pristine glacier landscape.

| Lunch at Laguna Pearson Post.

| Visit to the Museo Costumbrista.

| Return to the Estancia main house. If time allows, a visit to the Regional Museum will be included.

17:30 hs | Return navigation. Boat ride back to Puerto Punta Bandera and transfer to El Calafate.

19:30 hs | Arrival in El Calafate.

• Age allowed: from 6 years old | Maximum weight: 95 kg / 15 stone / 210 lbs.
• Only suitable for people in good physical condition (not recommended for individuals with back, hip, ankle, or knee pain) and with appropriate clothing. If the guide determines that a participant is unfit due to physical condition or attire, no claims or refunds will be accepted.

All bookings must be paid by bank transfer, bank deposit, credit or debit card. Credit and debit card payments will incur a 7% surcharge. Reservations are only accepted with 100% payment.
