Discover La Leona River in the Patagonian Steppe

Experience a unique adventure exploring one of the most beautiful rivers of the Patagonian steppe by kayak, combining paddling, trekking, and breathtaking landscapes.

📍 Detailed itinerary. Times are subject to change and variations.

07:30 hs | Pick-up from your accommodation. Transfer from El Calafate to Parador Luz Divina along Route 40.

09:30 hs | Preparation and equipment delivery. Receive safety instructions, technical gear, and a dry bag for your belongings and lunch.

10:00 hs | First kayaking section. A 10 km, 1 hour 15 minutes paddle along the La Leona River.

11:20 hs | Lunch and trekking. In the Cerro Fortaleza area (Estancia La Meseta), enjoy lunch and a trekking of approximately 2 hours along Cerro Los Hornos to a viewpoint with petrified bones and tree trunks.

13:20 hs | Second kayaking section. Final 6 km stretch, observing geological formations and steppe vegetation until reaching Arroyo El Turbio, where the vehicle will pick you up for the return to El Calafate.

16:30 hs | Arrival in El Calafate.

All bookings must be paid by bank transfer, bank deposit, credit or debit card. Credit and debit card payments will incur a 7% surcharge. Reservations are only accepted with 100% payment.
